Our Story

We’ve been working together since 2018, starting with a market research agency where we designed and built front-end interfaces for digital surveys, dashboards, and panels. As our team got suddenly downsized, we created a CSS framework that helped us maintain quality we were known for, while speeding up our workflow. This allowed us to consistently deliver responsive, accessible designs, even with fewer hands on deck.

Over the years, we’ve taken on all sorts of projects—everything from courseware for the UAE Navy to redesigning procurement software. We’ve worked on design systems, websites, component libraries, and themes, always focused on closing the gap between design and development.

One thing we’ve always found frustrating is how tricky it can be to translate designs into working code, even when you’ve got a great team. It really takes a designer and developer with overlapping skills to bridge that gap—people who understand both the creative and technical sides. We’ve worked with amazing individuals who share our passion for getting things right, but it’s never as simple as it sounds.

So here we are, DOT was born.

We don’t do things by halves and we hate cutting corners, we only strive to make things better, faster, greater and more useful for everyone.
